§ 7.12. Initiative or referendum petition—Ordinance suspended.

The certification by the Clerk/Treasurer of the sufficiency of a referendary petition within thirty (30) days after the passage of the ordinance to which such petition refers shall automatically suspend the operation of the ordinance in question, pending repeal by the Council or the final determination by the electors thereon.
