§ 3.3. Intergovernmental relations.

  • The City may exercise any of its powers or perform any of its functions and may participate in the financing thereof, jointly or in cooperation, by contract or otherwise, with any one or more states or any state civil division or agency or any subdivision of any state or the United States or any of its agencies.

Permissible that in providing for the public peace, health and safety, a city expend funds or enter into contracts with a private organization, the federal or state government, a county, village or township, or another city for services considered necessary by the municipal body vested with legislative power, MCL 117.3(j), MSA 5.2073, (j).
