§ 66-90. Preparation of garbage; use of cans.

  • Each residential user shall securely wrap all garbage placed in a garbage can. Residential garbage cans may be used for the disposal of all refuse from the residence and for dry ashes, but the contents of the can shall not be more than half of such dry ashes or clinkers. Hot ashes or clinkers shall not be placed in the can. Material placed in the garbage can shall not be compacted to the extent that it is difficult to remove. Harmful drugs and acids shall not be disposed of in the can.
